For me, I try to shy away from the beach-y uniform of my area (flip flops, short shorts, Vera Bradley, and those God-awful leggings) and attempt to be loud with my outfits, such as a BRIGHT yellow dress or a hamburger-patterned t-shirt, not so much to make a statement but just because those items suit my personality.

LJ is a little harder to define, but I suppose I am a lot cheaper about fashion and prefer to hunt for awesome clothes. Nothing wrong with investing in quality clothing, though. I can't quite pin my biggest inspirations--everything I see, between fashion communities, runway photos, and fabric in Joann's craft store ;] all seems to melt together.
